William Hadley Denton was a sophomore student studying Health Policy & Administration at Penn State University before his life ended all too early on Sunday, January 7, 2018.

William was born in Raleigh, NC, on June 8, 1998. Will loved being a student and saw education as a way to be all one could be, a belief that he shared as a gift with his friends. He loved sports and being part of a team. Will especially loved his time on the summer swim team at Crabtree Swim & Tennis Club and his many seasons with the Olympic Boys and Leesville Road High School soccer teams. At Penn State, Will joined Alpha Tau Omega and enjoyed participating in THON with his fraternity.

 

In his honor, the HPA Mockingbird Award was created in 2018 to be given annually to Penn State HPA students who carry on Will's dedication to helping those in need.
